Flash Flood Warning issued July 27 at 2:19PM CDT until July 27 at 5:00PM CDT by NWS Chicago IL

At 219 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicate that
heavy rain fell across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have
fallen.

HAZARD…Flash flooding.

SOURCE…Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT…Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage
ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and
other poor drainage areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Chicago, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Calumet City, Chicago
Heights, Roseland, Lansing, Oak Forest, Harvey, Blue Island,
Dolton, Park Forest, Homewood, Alsip, Matteson, Frankfort, Palos
Hills, Steger and South Holland.

A Flash Flood Warning means rapid-onset flooding is imminent or may
already be occurring. Persons along creeks, drainage ditches, and
other waterways should take immediate precautions to protect life
and property.
