Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 25 at 9:37PM CDT until July 25 at 9:45PM CDT by NWS Aberdeen SD
At 937 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Groton, moving
east at 40 mph.
HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE…Trained spotters reported.
IMPACT…Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
Southern Brown County.
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm has produced widespread
damaging winds.
Wind damage with this storm will occur before any rain or lightning.
Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. Seek
shelter immediately inside a sturdy structure and stay away from
windows.
Report severe weather to your nearest law enforcement agency or the
National Weather Service office in Aberdeen SD.
