Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 23 at 9:35PM MDT until July 23 at 9:45PM MDT by NWS Missoula MT
At 935 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Wye, or 10
miles northwest of Missoula, moving northeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include…
Missoula, Wye, Frenchtown, East Missoula and Huson.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.
Wind damage with this storm will occur before any rain or lightning.
Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. Seek
shelter immediately inside a sturdy structure and stay away from
windows.
