* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…Northeastern Buncombe County in western North Carolina…
Southwestern McDowell County in western North Carolina…
Southeastern Yancey County in western North Carolina…
* WHEN…Until 1215 AM EDT Friday.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 608 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have
fallen.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Black Mountain, Swannanoa, Weaverville, Old Fort, Mount Mitchell
State Park, B.R. Parkway-Craggy To Little Switzerland, B.R.
Parkway-East Asheville To Craggy Gardens, Montreat, Busick,
Barnardsville, Flat Creek and Pleasant Gardens.
