Special Weather Statement issued July 21 at 4:56PM EDT by NWS Jackson KY

At 455 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Foxport to near Sharpsburg. Movement was
southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Mount Sterling, Morehead, Flemingsburg, Owingsville, Marshall,
Jeffersonville, Camargo, Clay City, Sharpsburg, Salt Lick, Fairview,
Clay Lick, Ramey, Pecks Ridge, Levee, Wyoming, Peasticks, Olympia
Springs, Triplett, and Flat Creek.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS…
Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway between mile markers 13 and 16.
Interstate 64 in eastern Kentucky between mile markers 105 and 148.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
east central Kentucky.
