Flood Advisory issued July 21 at 2:57PM PDT until July 21 at 6:00PM PDT by NWS Elko NV
* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…Portions of north central and northeast Nevada, including
portions of Eureka and White Pine Counties. In Eureka this
includes SR-278 from Eureka to Garden Pass.
* WHEN…Until 600 PM PDT.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 256 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.8 and 1 inch of rain
has fallen.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Eureka, Eureka Airport and Diamond Valley.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
