Special Weather Statement issued July 17 at 4:50PM MDT by NWS Billings MT

At 450 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
approaching Melville, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible. Torrential rainfall may bring rises on Sweet Grass
Creek.

Locations impacted include…
Melville.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
