Special Weather Statement issued July 17 at 3:11PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM

At 311 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
La Bajada, or 20 miles southwest of Santa Fe, moving south at 5 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible. Hail may accumulate on roadways causing hazardous
travel.

Locations impacted include…
Domingo.

This includes Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 258 and 267.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
