Special Weather Statement issued July 16 at 6:02PM MDT by NWS Missoula MT

At 602 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 23
miles north of Thompson Falls, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Bend, Happys Inn and Marion.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
