Special Weather Statement issued July 16 at 5:10PM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC

At 509 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles north of Clemson, or near Central. This storm was nearly
stationary.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Clemson, Seneca, Central, Pendleton, Six Mile, Lake Hartwell, and
Lake Keowee.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
