Flood Advisory issued July 13 at 8:32PM EDT until July 13 at 9:30PM EDT by NWS Wilmington NC

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE…Robeson County in southeastern North Carolina…

* WHEN…Until 930 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 832 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the
advisory area. As much as 5 and 6 inches of rain is estimated to
have fallen near Raemon.
– Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in additional minor
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Lumberton, Red Springs, Pembroke, Fairmont, Maxton, St. Pauls,
Rowland, Barker Ten Mile, Prospect, Purvis, Wakulla, and Rex.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
