Special Weather Statement issued July 13 at 12:23AM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC

At 1223 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 5
miles southwest of Lincolnton, or 4 miles northeast of Cherryville,
moving northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Lincolnton, Boger City, Iron Station, and Crouse.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
