Special Weather Statement issued July 12 at 8:49PM CDT by NWS Shreveport LA

At 849 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms extending from near Claiborne to 25 miles southeast of
Swartz, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Monroe, Claiborne, West Monroe, Brownsville-Bawcom,
Brownsville-Bawcomville, Swartz, Richwood, Pine Grove, Millhaven
and Drew.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
