At 945 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Mohawk, or 7
miles south of Eagle River, moving southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD…Half dollar size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Damage to vehicles is expected.
Locations impacted include…
Houghton, Calumet, Eagle River, Hancock, Laurium, Chassell, Lake
Linden, Hubbell, Houghton County Airport, The Upper Entrance of
Portage Canal, The Lower Entrance of Portage Canal, and Phoenix.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Persons in campgrounds should seek sturdy shelter until this storm
passes.
