Flood Advisory issued July 12 at 9:44PM CDT until July 13 at 12:30AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Northwestern Hill County in central Texas…
Southern Ellis County in north central Texas…
Southeastern Johnson County in north central Texas…
Northwestern Navarro County in north central Texas…

* WHEN…Until 1230 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become
impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 942 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow
moving thunderstorms stretching from Blum to Itasca to Italy to
Rice. Radar estimates between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen
in the past hour. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over
the area in the next 1 to 2 hours. This additional rain will
result in minor flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Italy, Itasca, Grandview, Maypearl, Bardwell, Blum, Alma,
Covington, Carl’s Corner, Bardwell Lake, Parker, Rice, Milford,
Retreat, Emhouse, Five Points, Forreston and Lovelace.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
