Flood Advisory issued July 12 at 1:13PM CDT until July 12 at 3:15PM CDT by NWS Mobile AL

* WHAT…Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Central Mobile County in southwestern Alabama…

* WHEN…Until 315 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 112 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen in a short period of
time.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Midtown Mobile, Downtown Mobile, Prichard, I65 And I165, Tacon,
Forest Hill, Mertz, West Hill, Plateau and Wheelerville.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
