Special Weather Statement issued July 11 at 7:28PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM

At 728 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 15
miles southwest of Mesa, or 37 miles northwest of Roswell, moving
southwest at 5 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Mainly rural areas of East Central Lincoln and North Central Chaves
Counties.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
