Special Weather Statement issued July 9 at 5:32PM MDT by NWS Denver CO

At 532 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from over Lorenzo to 8 miles northeast of
Midway, or extending from 10 miles southwest of Sidney to 9 miles
north of Akron, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Sterling, Fleming, Iliff, Peetz, Crook, St Petersburg, Proctor,
Padroni, Burdett, Lone Star, Twin Buttes, Reiradon Hill, Dailey and
Fremont Butte.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving
conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in
dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep
your foot off the brake.
