Special Weather Statement issued July 8 at 8:14PM MDT by NWS Goodland KS

At 814 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 10 miles south of
Burlington to 11 miles north of Kit Carson. Movement was east at 20
mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

These storms will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern
Cheyenne and southeastern Kit Carson Counties in east central
Colorado.

This includes Highway 385 between mile markers 163 and 164, and
between mile markers 169 and 185.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
