Special Weather Statement issued July 8 at 6:59PM MDT by NWS Denver CO

At 659 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from 5 miles northwest of Burdett to 5 miles
northwest of Arickaree School, or extending from 16 miles southeast
of Sterling to 26 miles south of Akron, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Otis, Platner, Burdett, Lone Star and Hyde.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
