Special Weather Statement issued July 8 at 4:00PM MDT by NWS Great Falls MT

At 359 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Basin, or 11 miles northwest of Boulder, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Basin, Clancy, Wickes, Jefferson City, Corbin, and Alhambra.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
