Flood Advisory issued July 8 at 3:38PM CDT until July 8 at 5:45PM CDT by NWS Paducah KY
* WHAT…Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…Ballard County in western Kentucky…
Northeastern Carlisle County in western Kentucky…
* WHEN…Until 545 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 338 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
La Center, Barlow, Lovelaceville, Kevil and Blandville.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
