Flood Watch issued July 7 at 8:50PM CDT until July 8 at 12:00AM CDT by NWS Aberdeen SD

Heavy rainfall may increase flooding potential across portions of
north central South Dakota.

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE…A portion of north central South Dakota, including the
following counties, Campbell, Corson, Edmunds, McPherson and
Walworth.

* WHEN…Until midnight CDT /11 PM MDT/ tonight.

* IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– Heavy rainfall across portions of north central South Dakota may
bring an additional 1 to 3 inches. This is in addition to the 1
to 3 inches that fell across parts of Campbell and Walworth
counties earlier this morning.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
