Special Weather Statement issued July 6 at 7:49PM EDT by NWS Columbia SC

At 749 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Edgefield County Airport, or 14 miles north of Aiken, moving east at
10 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Batesburg-Leesville, Edgefield, Johnston, Ridge Spring, Aiken
Municipal Airport, Edgefield County Airport, Monetta, Trenton, Ward,
Strom Thurmond High School, Harmony, Vaucluse, Hibernia, New Holland,
and Edgefield Federal Correction Institution.

This includes Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 11
and 34.
