Special Weather Statement issued July 6 at 7:39PM EDT by NWS Jackson KY

At 739 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
London, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
London, Grace, Fariston, Pittsburg, Langnau, Lake, Cane Creek,
Fogertown, Lily, Mcwhorter, Urban, Sasser, Atlanta, Bush, Benge,
London-Corbin Airport, Datha, Herron, Hooker, and Deer Lick.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS…
Hal Rogers Parkway between mile markers 1 and 19.
Interstate 75 in east central Kentucky between mile markers 32 and
44.
Kentucky Highway 80 in Laurel County between mile markers 6 and 11.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
