Special Weather Statement issued July 6 at 2:45PM PDT by NWS Medford OR

At 244 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles west of Abert Rim Geology, or 25 miles north of Lakeview,
moving east at 10 mph.

HAZARD…Winds in excess of 30 mph, frequent lightning, and half
inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Portions of higways 395 and 31 near Abert Lake, and Abert Rim
Geology site.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
