Special Weather Statement issued July 6 at 11:38AM EDT by NWS Wakefield VA

At 1137 AM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Berlin to near Snow Hill to near
Pocomoke City. Movement was southeast at 10 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with these storms. In
addition, you can expect frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes
and torrential rainfall rates.

Locations impacted include…
Berlin, Snow Hill, Newark, Boxiron, Ocean City Municipality,
Cedartown, Public Landing, Ironshire, Mount Wesley, Girdletree,
Stockton, and West Ocean City.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Remember, lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.
Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
