Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 6 at 4:43PM EDT until July 6 at 5:30PM EDT by NWS Wilmington NC
At 443 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Rex, or 7 miles
east of Red Springs, moving northeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind
damage to trees and power lines.
Locations impacted include…
Red Springs, Pembroke, St. Pauls, Rex, Tolarsville, Shannon, Buie,
Robeson Community College, Barker Ten Mile, Prospect, Parkton,
Rennert, and Lumber Bridge.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
