Special Weather Statement issued July 5 at 6:09PM EDT by NWS State College PA

At 609 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14
miles northwest of Carlisle, moving northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Newport, New Bloomfield, Richfield, Mexico, New Buffalo, Loysville,
Ickesburg, Liverpool, Mifflintown, Port Royal, Thompsontown,
Millerstown, Mifflin, Landisburg, and East Salem.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
