Special Weather Statement issued July 5 at 3:14PM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC

At 313 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Piedmont, or over Westernport, moving east at 5 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Keyser, Westernport, Bel Air, Lonaconing, Piedmont, Cresaptown,
Rawlings, Barton, Midland, Midlothian, Franklin, Woodland, Luke,
Merrill, Dogwood Flats, Reynolds, Warnocks, and Mccoole.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
