Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued July 5 at 5:38PM EDT until July 5 at 6:00PM EDT by NWS State College PA
At 537 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Alfarata,
moving east at 10 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include…
Lewistown, Burnham, Milroy, Highland Park, Yeagertown, Strodes Mills,
Reedsville, Juniata Terrace, Alfarata, Walnut, Seven Mountains, and
Reeds Gap State Park.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows.
