Southeastern Webster County in central Iowa…

* Until 830 AM CDT Saturday.

* At 226 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 to 2 inches
are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Des Moines, Ames, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Urbandale, Johnston,
Clive, Altoona, Waukee, Boone, Pleasant Hill, Grimes, Windsor
Heights, Bondurant, Polk City, Huxley, Saylorville, Madrid,
Mitchellville and Ogden.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
