Special Weather Statement issued July 3 at 3:23PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM

At 323 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 6
miles west of Arch, or 9 miles southeast of Portales, and is
stationary.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Portales and Arch.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
