Special Weather Statement issued July 2 at 6:57PM EDT by NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC

At 657 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12
miles east of Downtown Greenville, or near GSP Airport. This storm
was nearly stationary but drifting slowly westward.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Greer, Duncan, Reidville, GSP Airport, Five Forks, Lyman, and
Taylors.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
