Special Weather Statement issued July 1 at 4:10PM MDT by NWS Missoula MT

At 310 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 39
miles south of Tarkio, or 31 miles northwest of Hamilton, moving
northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 30 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Powell and Lolo Pass.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
