Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 30 at 3:05PM EDT until June 30 at 3:30PM EDT by NWS Buffalo NY
At 305 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Montezuma, or 7
miles north of Seneca Falls, moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include…
Geneva, Fair Haven Beach State Park, Ontario, Newark, Williamson,
Marion, Lyons, Clyde, Phelps, and Sodus.
This includes Interstate 90 between exits 40 and 42.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
