Southwestern Fallon County in southeastern Montana…
* Until 545 PM MDT.
* At 508 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
27 miles northwest of Ekalaka to near Ridgeway, or along a line
from 27 miles northwest of Ekalaka to 27 miles south of Ekalaka,
moving northeast at 35 mph. The strongest thunderstorm was located
south of Belltower as of 508 PM MDT.
HAZARD…Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include…
Ekalaka, Ridgeway, Medicine Rocks State Park, Belltower, Mill Iron,
Capitol and Mizpah.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
