Special Weather Statement issued June 22 at 5:00PM EDT by NWS Miami FL

At 500 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking
a strong thunderstorm over Miccosukee Service Plaza, or 33 miles
south of Lake Harbor, moving west at 10 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Miccosukee Indian Reservation, Miccosukee Service Plaza, and West
Broward Rec. Area On Alligator Alley.

These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around
unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the
storm passes.
