At 711 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles east of
Benton, moving east at 50 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include…
Benton, Charleston, Calhoun, Conasauga, Big Frog Mountain,
Parksville, Reliance, and Dentville.
This includes Interstate 75 in Tennessee between mile markers 31 and
33.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

building.
