At 723 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Randleman,
moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include…
High Point, Asheboro, Randleman, Archdale, Trinity, Liberty, Ramseur,
Franklinville, Staley, and Randleman Regional Reservior Marina.
This includes the following highways…
Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 107 and 112.
Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 75 and 88.
Interstate 74 between Mile Markers 77 and 79.
Straight line winds can blow down trees, power lines, and damage
mobile homes and other buildings. Seek shelter in a sturdy structure
until the storm has passed. Stay away from windows as flying debris
generated by damaging winds can be deadly.
