Special Weather Statement issued June 19 at 2:31PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM

At 231 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles east of Upper Colonias, or 13 miles west of Las Vegas, moving
south at 10 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Tecolote, San Pablo, San Geronimo, Ojitos Frios, Mineral Hill and
San Jose.

This includes Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 322 and 337.

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Heavy rains from severe thunderstorms can produce sudden and
dangerous flows in arroyos, ditches and over low water crossings. Do
not attempt to drive through areas where water covers the roadway.
