Special Weather Statement issued June 18 at 7:14PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM
At 714 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Abo, or 30 miles southwest of Estancia, moving south at 15 mph.
HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include…
Mountainair and Abo.
This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 189 and 203.
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
