Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 18 at 8:33PM EDT until June 18 at 8:45PM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC
At 833 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Albemarle to 8 miles southwest of Goldston to 8
miles south of Sanford, moving east at 60 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include…
Sanford, Albemarle, Troy, Badin Lake, Biscoe, Goldston, Seagrove,
Plyler, Locust, and Badin.
This includes the following highways…
US 1 near Mile Marker 69.
Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 49 and 66.

building.
