* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Eastern Bartholomew County in central Indiana…
Decatur County in central Indiana…
Southeastern Johnson County in central Indiana…
Southern Shelby County in central Indiana…
Northeastern Jackson County in south central Indiana…
Northern Jennings County in southeastern Indiana…

* WHEN…Until 230 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1146 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 3 inches of rain have
fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Columbus, Greensburg, North Vernon, Adams, Edinburgh, Hope,
Flat Rock, Milford, Westport, Princes Lakes, Geneva,
Trafalgar, St. Paul, Elizabethtown, Hartsville, Clifford,
Jonesville, Millhousen, Burney and Newbern.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
