Special Weather Statement issued June 16 at 2:15PM EDT by NWS Tallahassee FL

At 214 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Midway to 12 miles southwest of
Monticello. Movement was northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Tallahassee, Monticello, Tallahassee State College, Florida State
University, Midway, Havana, Florida A and M, Doak Campbell Stadium,
Lake Bradford, Alma, Cody, Gaither Community Center, Tallahassee
Memorial Hosp, Walker Ford Community Center, South City, Miccosukee,
Eight Mile Pond, Griffin Heights, Drifton, and Bloxham.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
