* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE…Central Assumption Parish in southeastern Louisiana…
Northwestern Lafourche Parish in southeastern Louisiana…
Southwestern St. James Parish in southeastern Louisiana…
* WHEN…Until 600 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 253 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen but many of these areas have seen 5 to 7 inches of rain in
the last 6 hours.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Napoleonville, Supreme, Labadieville, Paincourtville, Convent and
Chackbay.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
