Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 15 at 5:03PM MDT until June 15 at 5:15PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM
At 503 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 8
miles east of Tucumcari to 8 miles southwest of Quay, moving
southeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include…
Tucumcari and Quay.
This includes the following highways…
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 322 and 344. State Road 104
between Mile Markers 104 and 105.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.
Wind damage with these storms will occur before any rain or
lightning. Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover.
Seek shelter immediately inside a sturdy structure and stay away from
windows.
