Special Weather Statement issued June 12 at 4:52PM EDT by NWS Charleston WV

At 452 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Boissevain, or 9 miles northwest of Bluefield, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Northfork and Maybeury.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
southern West Virginia.
