Special Weather Statement issued June 9 at 6:26PM CDT by NWS Dodge City KS

At 626 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Nekoma to near Ash Valley to 7 miles southeast
of Hanston. Movement was east at 50 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Strong thunderstorms will be near…
La Crosse, Rush Center, Rozel, Ash Valley, and Sanford around 630
PM CDT.
Bison, Timken, and Frizell around 635 PM CDT.
Larned, Garfield, and Shaffer around 640 PM CDT.
Otis around 645 PM CDT.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
south central and central Kansas.
