Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued June 8 at 5:22PM CDT until June 8 at 5:30PM CDT by NWS Hastings NE
At 522 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Woodruff, or 16
miles north of Phillipsburg, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northeastern Phillips County.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for north central
Kansas.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Wind damage with this storm will occur before any rain or lightning.
Do not wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. SEEK
SHELTER IMMEDIATELY inside a sturdy structure and stay away from
windows.
